Fine Dining

The Watermill Restaurant, Kilmore Quay, Lisnaskea.

Approximately 10 minutes from Coolbeg. £10-£12 by taxi or accessible by boat landing in Kilmore Quay is the Watermill Restaurant. Perched on the shore of the Lough boasting water gardens and a 5,000 litre aquarium. Warm lobster salad, kettyle dry aged beef served Rossini style with truffles and foie gras feature on the award winning menu of owner Pascal Brissaud. Macnean Restaurant, Blacklion, County Cavan.

Just over the border in County Cavan (30 minutes by car), is Macnean House and restaurant, awarded Georgina Campbell’s All Ireland Restaurant of the Year Award in 2007 and described as a National Treasure. Also a winner of Food & Wine best Chef in Ulster, 2011. It’s not easy to obtain a reservation, so book well in advance. Tel: (00353) 7198 53022.

The closest Restaurant & Pub is the Carrybridge Hotel and Marina with a quality pub and restaurant menu. Excellent beers and outside terracing overlooking the Marina and passing cruising boats. Tel: 028 6638 7148

Enniskillen

Blakes of the Hollow, 6 Church Street, Enniskillen

This well run restaurant delivers quality local food in an upbeat ambiance.

Dollakis Restaurant, Cross Street, Enniskillen, BT74 7DX

A local favourite and very popular at the weekends – honest Greek and Mediterranean food. The owners describe the atmosphere as “it’s like being on your holidays”. Voted by the Irish Restaurant Association as “Best Casual Dining in Fermanagh, 2010, 2012 and 2013”. Tel: 028 6634 2616.
